Ambassador (Ret.) Adam Namm

Ambassador (Ret.) Adam Namm is Executive Director of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission at the Organization of American States.  Namm got to know ROMP in 2013 while U.S. ambassador to Ecuador and has been on our Board of Directors since 2021, assuming the Board chair in January 2023. Having been a U.S. diplomat for 30 years, Namm brings a wealth of leadership and management experience to ROMP. He plans on focusing his passion for the organization on helping ROMP expand its operations to another country, solidifying ROMP's governance model, and reaching out to donors.

In his free time, Namm plays jazz and blues piano and enjoys swimming and trading soccer penalty kicks with his eight-year-old son.

His ‘Why’: ROMP does terrific work providing mobility to those that could not otherwise afford prostheses. I saw the fruits of ROMP's labors while U.S. ambassador to Ecuador, and was honored to be asked to join the Board of Directors in 2021. It is now my greater honor to chair the Board as ROMP seeks to expand its operations to another country.

Favorite ROMP Moment: Getting to know Executive Director Dave Krupa, who had the vision and guts to co-found the organization and take it to where it is today -- and of course all of the wonderful ROMP moments of patients gaining mobility!
