ROMP operates fully-integrated prosthetics clinics in Guatemala and Ecuador, using 95% recycled components. We accompany our most vulnerable patients through mobile and community-based rehabilitation.
ROMP was founded in 2005 by David Krupa, Eric Neufeld, and Josh Kaplan. Since then we have built permanent systems in Guatemala and Ecuador, and we are now sharing our model worldwide.

Jonathan Naber
Executive Director
As ROMP’s Executive Director, Jonathan is responsible for leading the strategy of the organization on a global level. Prior to this role, he served as ROMP’s Chief Program Officer, directing programs across ROMP’s three countries of operations.
Jonathan earned a Masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and has deep experience in rehabilitation programs. He has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles on the topics of disability and mental health in Guatemala. Jonathan lives in Guatemala, and he enjoys spending time with his wife Yara and son Ignacio.
His ‘Why’: ROMP embodies the reason I shifted my career from engineering to public health, which is to focus on equity over technology.
Favorite ROMP memory: Standing-up the new ROMP clinic in Guatemala City in 2023 with the incredible support of the ROMP community.

Marta Flores
Global Programs Assistant
As ROMP’s Global Programs Assistant, Marta Flores manages logistics for volunteer programs and coordinates the Components for a Cause program, which focuses on component recycling to provide high-quality prosthetics. Since joining the ROMP team in 2024, Marta has worked to streamline and enhance the efficiency of these programs, ensuring ROMP’s mission reaches even more individuals in need around the world.
With a background in leadership, quality management, and operations, Marta holds a degree in Interior Design, along with certifications in culinary arts and extensive experience in team management, customer service, and portfolio analysis. She brings a unique mix of following established processes and incorporating creativity into her work. This blend enables her to solve complex problems while ensuring that programs run efficiently and effectively. Marta is skilled in process improvement, project management, and compliance, always striving to bring new, creative solutions to the table when challenges arise.
When not working, Marta enjoys experimenting with new pastry recipes, exploring new cities and cultures, and hiking in scenic locations. She is an avid traveler, and working with an organization that has such a meaningful global impact is a personal accomplishment for her. Marta is also a strong advocate for community service and volunteer work, aligning closely with her role at ROMP.
Her ‘Why’: «I’m deeply motivated by ROMP’s mission to provide life-changing prosthetics to those in need. I love to travel, and knowing that my work with ROMP helps connect people with the resources they need is incredibly rewarding. It’s an honor to be part of something with such a big impact.»
Favorite ROMP Memory: «Everything I’ve done since joining ROMP has been life-changing. One experience that stands out was when we did a home visit to a new patient. A couple of months later, I saw her walking out of the clinic with her new prosthesis. Being part of that entire process was incredibly moving and reminded me of the real, tangible difference we’re making.»

Diego Sermeño
Administrative Operations Specialist
As ROMP’s Administrative Operations Specialist, Diego Sermeño oversees strategic planning, compliance with international regulations, and the development of policies and risk management plans to enhance organizational efficiency. After joining the ROMP team in 2024, Diego has worked to streamline global operations, improve decision-making through data-driven insights, and support the organization’s mission of empowering individuals through mobility.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Business Management from Brigham Young University–Idaho and certifications in Business Administration, Leadership Skills, and Social Media Marketing, Diego brings expertise in operational strategy, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. His professional experience includes managing client intake processes for legal firms, mentoring students in academic and personal growth, and coordinating complex administrative tasks in fast-paced environments.
When not busy working, Diego enjoys volunteering as a mentor, exploring innovative digital tools, and staying active through outdoor adventures. He is also passionate about intercultural communication and building meaningful connections within global communities.
His ‘Why’:
Working with ROMP has deepened my commitment to humanitarian causes. Seeing firsthand the organization’s dedication to providing mobility solutions to underserved populations has inspired me to contribute not only through my professional skills, but also by fostering empathy and collaboration in every aspect of my life. I truly believe that equitable access to healthcare and opportunity is foundational to building stronger, more resilient communities.
Favorite ROMP memory: One of my favorite ROMP memories is our collaboration with Mr. Beast. It was incredible to see how that partnership amplified our impact and helped us reach thousands of people around the world.

Gabriela Castellanos
Administrative Director
As ROMP’s Administrative Director, Gabriela Castellanos leads the development and structure of four core functional areas within the organization: Legal, Administrative, Human Resources, and Financial Divisions. Her journey with ROMP began in 2018 as a volunteer translator for international volunteer programs. After supporting bookkeeping tasks and demonstrating a deep commitment to ROMP’s mission, she formally joined the team in 2022.
Gabriela holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Administrative Engineering, a Postgraduate Degree in Finances, and a Master’s in Reengineering, all from Universidad Galileo. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Administration with a specialization in Finance. Before joining ROMP, her professional career focused on renewable energy.
Now based in Ecuador, Gabriela also explores her passion for interior design — she designed both the ROMP clinic in Quito (2021) and the new facility in Guatemala City (2022).
Her ‘Why’: A proud Guatemalan, Gabriela has volunteered in social impact initiatives for over 25 years, working with abused children, families in extreme poverty, and people experiencing homelessness. Her core values are service and order.
Favorite ROMP memory: Designing and building the Quito facility in 2021, and the Guatemala City facility in 2022.

Ana Lucia González
Human Resource Specialist & Development Assistant
As a Human Resources Specialist and Development Assistant at ROMP, Ana Lucia plays a vital role in both people management and organizational growth. Since joining in 2024, she has worked to enhance donor engagement, streamline development processes, and foster a mission-driven team.
With a degree in Psychology, Ana Lucia brings experience in marketing and human resources across various industries. Her expertise lies in digital communications, strategic HR operations, and community engagement.
When not working, Ana Lucia enjoys photography, podcasts, writing, reading, and volunteering at animal shelters.
Her ‘Why’: As a former scout, Ana Lucia deeply values the freedom of movement and envisions a world where everyone can move freely and chase their dreams.
Favorite ROMP memory: Collaborating with MrBeast to expand ROMP’s reach and impact.

Aymara Muñoz
Bookkeeper
As ROMP’s Bookkeeper, Aymara Muñoz manages financial records, organizes transactions, processes payments, and supports audits to ensure transparency. Since joining in 2023, she has optimized financial management to support ROMP’s mission.
A graduate in Accounting and Auditing from the Central University of Ecuador and a current Social Work student, Aymara believes her role merges financial management with social impact.
Her ‘Why’: She believes mobility is a gateway to opportunity and quality of life. Through her work, she helps ensure ROMP can sustainably transform lives.
Favorite ROMP memory: “Being present when the 5,000th prosthetic was delivered and accompanying the team to the mountains (even though I didn’t reach the summit).”

Ken Morthland
Warehouse & Inventory Associate
As ROMP’s Warehouse and Inventory Associate, Ken ensures all equipment and prosthetic components are organized, tracked, and delivered efficiently to support clinical operations. He joined ROMP in June 2025.
Ken brings over 40 years of warehouse management experience, including 31 years at Ryall Electric Supply Co. and 11 years as Warehouse Manager at Lumin8.
When not working, he enjoys time outdoors with his family, classic black-and-white films, and cheering on Denver sports teams.
His ‘Why’: Ken is inspired by ROMP’s mission and proud to contribute behind the scenes to help change lives.
Favorite ROMP memory: “I’m just getting started, but I’ve already felt the warmth and dedication of the ROMP team.”

José Ramos
Monitoring & Evaluation & Grants Associate
As ROMP’s Monitoring & Evaluation and Grants Associate, José improves program effectiveness through M&E and secures funding through grant writing across ROMP’s three countries. He joined in 2023.
He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala and has experience in project management, conflict resolution, and CRM with international stakeholders
Outside of work, José enjoys cooking, salsa dancing, and working out (balanced with ice cream).
His ‘Why’: José believes that regaining mobility restores dignity — a rebirth for those he serves.
Favorite ROMP memory: Meeting Obed, a young man from Guatemala’s Pacific Coast who regained his mobility and became a mentor in his community.

Jaime Vargas
Chief Program Officer
As ROMP’s Chief Program Officer, Jaime oversees and evaluates programs across Guatemala, Ecuador, and the U.S. He joined in April 2025.
He holds degrees in Development Practices and Policies from the Geneva Graduate Institute and an MBA from INCAE, Nicaragua. Jaime has extensive experience leading international NGO teams and designing impactful programs.
When not working, he enjoys cooking, collecting vinyl records, and spending time with his cat, Cleotilde.
His ‘Why’: “The moment I realized my skills and education could be used to improve people’s lives.”
