Dillen Maurer

Hey y'all, I am Dillen Maurer. As a former professional cyclist, I definitely know how important mobility can be for one's physical and mental health. After losing my foot in a hit and run accident on my bike, I thought my ability to move was taken from me. However, I was then introduced to the illustrious Kyle Stepp. He came to my hospital room and told me my life of adventures was far from over. Then he told me all about ROMP and how he climbed a freaking mountain to raise money and awareness for this awesome organization providing prosthetic care for underserved communities. At that moment, I knew I needed to start planning something grand. The more time I spent immersed in the adaptive athletic community, the more I wanted to give back to those making this world a better place. With access to prosthetics, I have gotten back on my bike plus even started rock climbing and running. I want everyone experiencing limb difference to be able to partake in all these activities too! That is why I have committed to raising funds and awareness for ROMP. So if you find yourself in Bellingham, WA in need of a riding
partner, please reach out to me on Instagram @baphomet_bicycles. I am always down to ride around town to the best cafes and meet new folks willing to help those in need.
