Jaime Vargas
As ROMP’s Chief Program Officer, Jaime Vargas operates and
evaluates ROMP’s programs in its three countries of operations.
After joining the ROMP team in 2025, Jaime has worked to drive
program excellence and growth. In this role, he is responsible for
managing and evaluating ROMP programs in Guatemala, Ecuador,
and the United States.
With a degree(s) in Development Practices and Policies from the
Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies,
and a MBA from INCAE, Nicaragua, Jaime has experience in program
design, implementation, and has led multidisciplinary teams for
international NGOs and throughout the region.
When not busy working, Jaime enjoys cooking, collecting and
listening to records, and relaxing with his cat Cleotilde.
His ‘Why’: The moment I realized my skills and education could be of
service focused towards impacting and improving people's lives.
