We are so excited to invite our 2023 Climb Team member, Cam Ayala, to the ROMP stage to host our annual celebration!
Cam underwent an above-knee-amputation in June 2022, due to complications from his life-long battle with Lymphedema. His surgery caught national attention due to his appearances on reality television series, The Bachelorette and The Bachelor in Paradise. Though his journey as an amputee has been relatively short, he has fully immersed himself by leveraging his social media platforms to connect and advocate for the limb-loss/limb-difference (LLLD) community and volunteer for organizations helping others in the LLLD community, including ROMP!
After some convincing (rightfully so because there are no volcanoes in his home town of Houston, TX), Cam joined the 2023 Climb Team and made it to within 500ft of Volcano Cayambe's summit (18,996ft). "Aye Cayambe!" as he would say! After the climb, Cam felt his next challenge would be on the ROMP stage hosting our annual year end celebration! We are so grateful to have his amazing energy on our stage and in our hearts!
